The Chesapeake Wellness Center was recommended by a friend when I found myself in so much neck and shoulder pain I could not function. Physician offices were closed and I needed immediate help and someone who would take my pain seriously. The best my primary doctor could do was write prescriptions for high doses of narcotic pain medications and then make an appointment with an orthopedist when they re-opened. This was not the route I wanted to take. Therefore, I set up an assessment appointment with Chesapeake Wellness Center. After x-rays Dr. Mark designed a plan of care which I followed and am still following religiously. As a nurse I appreciate that Dr. Mark's practice is based on the caring philosophy that enhances not only your physical health, but your mental attitude. Intense pain causes a crabby outlook and truly effects your quality of life. In addition, the physical environment of his practice is spotlessly clean and consistently sanitized. They take all the necessary precautions for customer safety related to the virus plaguing today's world. His massage therapist is a "wonder" worker and was included in my plan of care. I am still following my plan and am pain free! An interesting side effect is that my fibromyalgia, diagnosed in the early 80's, does not bother me anymore. Was this because of a bad diagnosis while my true problem was in my cervical spine? One never knows, but the constant low grade pain is gone as well as the intense pain that so seriously affected my life. Thank you Dr. Mark and your amazing staff!

As a baseball coach and former catcher, I had a hard time making the throw to second due to years of wear and tear. After going through the therapy over the past year, I once again can make the throw easily with out pain and discomfort. Thank you so much. I feel so much better.

Prior to Chiropractic care, I was suffering from severe pains on the back of my neck, head, shoulders, arms, legs, and lower back. I had numbness and tingling in my fingers, burning on my shins, and back. Every day I felt as if I had the flu. I would wake up each morning very fatigued because of sleep disturbances and as the day progressed, the pains would increase with stress and anxiety. Due to the chronic pain, I was always fatigued and therefore, deprived of social activities and exercise. I was prescribed pain relievers, but I only received temporary relief. When I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, I was prescribed Zolof®, an anti-depressant which I stopped taking because of the side effects. I started Chiropractic care after attending a workshop presented by a local Chiropractor. After a couple of months of Chiropractic treatment, my health improved tremendously. I no longer suffer from chronic pains and my energy level has increased. I am now able to get a good night's sleep and wake without body aches and stiffness. I am enjoying my social life, and most importantly, without any medication and side effects. Chiropractic care did not give me temporary relief of my pains, but corrected the cause. I can certify that Chiropractic care has given me my life back!

I have been experiencing sciatica in my lower back for 6 months and neck spasms.
